Borts brings deep expertise in customized investment solutions for sophisticated endowments and foundations.
Radnor, PA – September 14, 2026 – TIFF Investment Management (TIFF) announced that Andrew Borts has joined the firm as Executive Director of the Client CIO Group. In this role, Borts will work with TIFF clients to develop tailored investment strategies, establish strategic asset allocations, and provide senior-level investment counsel that sophisticated endowments and foundations increasingly require.
“As institutions grow, their portfolios, governance and investment needs become more complex,” said Jessica Portis, Chief Client Officer. “We are deliberately building a Client CIO team with the investment depth and institutional experience to advise clients through that complexity. Andrew has operated at that scale and understands how to translate sophisticated investment capabilities into strategies tailored to an institution’s objectives. We are thrilled to have him join our team.”
Borts joins TIFF from Morgan Stanley, where he served as a multi-asset portfolio manager, working with institutional clients, with an average relationship size of $500 million. His experience spans strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, public and private manager selection, liquidity planning, investment policy design, and governance support. He will be based in TIFF’s Boston office and will partner with the business development team in cultivating relationships with prospective institutional clients.
“Endowments and foundations need more than access to investments, they need a partner who understands their objectives, governance structure, and the tradeoffs involved in building a long-term portfolio,” said Borts. “TIFF’s combination of deep investment capabilities and a long history of serving nonprofit institutions was particularly compelling to me in this new role. I am excited to work directly with clients to build investment programs around their individual needs.”
TIFF’s Client CIO Group combines portfolio construction and investment expertise with strategic advice on asset allocation, governance, liquidity, and investment policy, working alongside boards and investment committees to build durable long-term investment programs.
